My Dear and only Son, as ten years since your passing approaches, I want to express my love and pride in the way you lived your life. Though we lost contact for many years you know now by the grace of God that you were never out of my prayers - not for even one day! I never doubted you true love and always admired you for the way you fathered my grandsons. Sadly! even though we lived a few miles apart, I found out about your death years later. You carried so much of the kindness and love in your heart just as you mother did. We both loved golf but never played one round together. We had some great times together at the Hebert poker games, especially when you had a better hand than your Grandmother. Why God takes some of us so soon in life is known only to Him. At least now you know how much you were loved by the whole Hebert clan and everyone else you touched in life. So in closing, mu son, I say this Buds for you!!

I haven't been able to write anything until now. I am going to try. Dying is a part of life, I understand that. But I will never understand this. Not while I am still on Earth. There can be no explanation of "why?" that will EVER make any sense. Not in this case. The only thing that I can know for sure is that my true friend Michael would not want anyone, anyone, to have a heavy heart because of his death. Remember him, even honor him, or let his death be a positive influence on how we live our lives? Yes. He could tolerate that (he still wouldn't like it though). Mourn him, question God, let his death have a negative effect on our lives? Hell no. "Get busy livin' or get busy dyin'!" as he was known to say. And live he did. Love you.

Dear Mikey, I cannot believe I just found out about your death. I still remember all our poker games, and Robert's farm picnic before your Granddad Hebert's death. We all loved you that is why Granddad gave you his watch that he cherished. I hope you did not suffer. We were still blood kin even though we were obliterated from your life. Love, Aunt Rita
