Virginia Gilbert, 83, of Lumberton, died Sunday, September 9, 2007 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.
She was born in Des Moines, Iowa and has been a resident of Lumberton for the past sixteen years.
Her husband, Kenneth Gilbert preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Judy Stratton of Des Moines, Iowa, Karen Nosbisch of Mitchville, Iowa, Keith Gilbert of Tampa, Florida and Joyce Howell of Lumberton; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; sisters, Carol Ferris of Des Moines, Iowa and Bev Brown of Livingston; and brother, Howard Smith of Des Moines, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at a later date under the direction of Hamilton-Southtown Funeral Home in Des Moines, Iowa with local arrangements handled by Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont.
