John Thomas Preshaw, Sr. — In Loving Memory

John Thomas Preshaw, Sr., 84, lifelong resident of Beaumont died September 8, 2007. Mr. Preshaw was retired as a braker from Union Oil Company Refinery and was a in the Merchant Marines during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Inez Preshaw of Beaumont; son, John T. Preshaw, Jr. of Fairbanks, Alaska; stepdaughter, Wanda Parks of Beaumont; sister, June Rose Pershon of Beaumont; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Diane Preshaw.

Graveside service will be 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2007 at Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 N Major Drive, Beaumont.

Inez, Wanda, and Tommy, We were saddened to hear about losing "Jack". We remember this gentle giant of a man for his kind smile. My dad, Robert Sterling, Sr., worked at Union Oil with your dad, not to mention living in the same neighborhood on Primrose Street oh those so many years long ago. I started school in the 1st grade at Port Neches Elementary with Judy...she was a close friend because of my father's acquaintance with "Jack"...my father worked at Pure Oil later known as Union Oil. I remember Jack well even in my young years. My father, James "J.D." Burchfield ask that I check on the obituary on-line because the newspaper didn't list survivors. From our family to yours, we'd like to express our regret that you've lost a loved one. We hope that memories of Jack brings peace to your hearts.
