Hey pawpaw, I just found this and I'm so happy I did because now I can come and talk all the time. My heart still hearts the same as it did when I was 8 years old, now I'm 16. It's so unbelievable to me that it's going to be 8 years soon. I think about you everyday still and how things would be if you were still here. Guess what, in getting a tattoo today!!! It's going to be for you of course. Mawmaw sent me a picture of a card with your handwriting in it with the words "I love you" so I'm going to get that with the dates on my forearm and then another one in September on my foot that says walk with me with your signature. So that wherever I go in life I have the reassurance that you are always going to be right by my side, walking with me. I had this big party "my super sweet 16" it was so much fun oh how I wish you were here. Well I think this might be a little long so I'm going to go. I love you so much and I'll be thinking of you forever and a day. See you later

Well dad, here I am sitting at work thinking of you again. It is christmas time and this is the first year I have not been able to speak with you. I know you are in a better place now, I sure do miss you. Like uncle Mike said, you sit high on that mountain with grandpal and cook the best brisket and ribs they have every tasted. I know that where I got it from. Joy and I got our first house togather, it is so nice you would like it. And of coures I got grandpals pit all set up, even pored a concreat slab for it to rest on. Just want to send my love and support to my family in a time in which I can't be there with them. I was fortunate enough to spend time with my Uncle David in New York while I was home on leave and I cherish the fun the time that we had. I've learned alot from my Uncle David and nothing more important than seeing him in pain makes me want a part of him in me and that is to NEVER give up NO MATTER WHAT LIFE THROWS AT YOU. I hope that I'll have as much heart he had. Just so everyone knows, my Uncle David hasn't passed on, he just moved to a better place where one day I will be fortunate enough to talk with him again..LOVE YOU UNCLE DAVID.....
