Mary E. “Betty” Watson, 88, of Beaumont died August 31, 2007. A native of Troup, Texas and resident of Beaumont since 1940, Betty was a secretary with Spindletop Electric. Betty enjoyed gardening, antique hunting, cooking, dancing, and she loved her dogs.
She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Brown, Ann White and her husband Clyde all of Beaumont, and Linda Vogel and her husband Ed of Lumberton; grandchildren, Eric Vogel, Gretchen Bailey, Shannon White, and Carole Hyde; and great grandsons, Jacob Vogel and Jamison Hyde. Her husband Jack Roger Watson, preceded Betty in death.
Graveside service will be 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 N Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday evening, September 2, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
