Edna Spalding Griffin, 97 of Nederland passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Friday, August 31, 2007 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Nederland with Mr. Dale LeBlanc officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00-8:00 pm Thursday at the mortuary.
Edna was a native of Tyler County and has lived most of her life in the mid-county area. She was a homemaker and a member of Groves Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ed Spalding and John Clark Griffin; two brothers, Albert Davis, Bryant Davis; three sisters, Lillian Heider, Billie Jean Marecek, Sadie Ruth Davis; step-daughter, Vickie Guidry and step-granddaughter, Stephanie Guidry.
Edna is survived by her son, George Spalding and his wife Sharon of Nederland; step-son, Jerry Griffin and his wife Mary Beth of Seabrook; step-daughter, Marscha Griffin of Lumberton; brother Hughie Davis and his wife Mary Jane of Port Neches; sister, Katie Williams of Beaumont; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild
