Camille “Dolly” Adkins went home to be with her Savior on Sunday, August 26, 2007 surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Lumberton.
A native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Camille has lived in this area since 1955.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Adkins; children, Tom Sparks and wife Robbie of Katy, Andrew Sparks of Lumberton, Toby Adkins and wife Tish of Lumberton, Tammy Adkins Byerly and husband James of Lumberton, and Marcella Whalen and husband Jeff of Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren, Joshua Delarue, Frank Delarue, David Sparks, Lorraine Sparks, Sean Sparks, Alexis Adkins, Zoe Adkins, Jesse Adkins, and Lana Byerly; great grandchild, Kai Sparks; brothers, Jerry Powell, Steve Powell, and Glen Powell; sisters, Francis Gooch and Judy Vaughn.
Camille is preceded in death by her father and mother, Daniel and Lillian Powell; daughter, Valora Williams; grandson, Jacob Adkins; and brother, Billy Powell.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee followed by burial at Hooks Cemetery in Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at the mortuary.
