Ivy Savoy, 68, of Beaumont, died Monday, August 20, 2007 at his residence.
A native of Church Point, Louisiana and resident of Beaumont for most of his life, Ivy was a retired maintenance worker, having worked for Christus Hosptital St. Elizabeth. He was also a United States Army veteran.
Ivy is survived by his mother, Caroline Thibodeaux; son, Todd Savoy; sister, Violet Arena; and granddaughter, Baylee Savoy all of Beaumont; several nephews and one niece.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2007 at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church with a burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will begin 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2007 with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
