Ross Elton Bird, 26, of Kountze died August 18, 2007. A native of Houston and resident of Kountze for fourteen years, Ross was a machinist with Western Flange.
He is survived by his mother, Janet Bird of Kountze; brothers, Richard Hunter and his wife Amy and their children Madison and Grace of Crosby and Jason Coffelt and his wife Kim of League City; fiancé, Darla White and her children Cassi and Justin Taylor of Kountze; uncle, Dennis Linney of Buffalo Gap; cousins, Darla Perron and husband David and their daughter Charlie of George West, Amber Lantz and her husband Damon and their son Beaux of California, and Jake Linney and his wife Amy and their son Jake, Jr. of Beeville; aunt, Cecilia Amaya of Galena Park and Lou Ellen Linney of Beeville; extended family, Larry Long, Bob and Sue Long, Cindy Long, and Arthur Jones; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in and around the Kountze area. Ross’s father, Gene Bird, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Broussard’s Chapel, Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday evening, August 20, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
