We called her many names, Mom, Sis,grandmother and Aunt. But those closest called her "BIG MOMMA". Big Momma because not only did she raise her eleven siblings and her own family, but a host of nieces and nephews, all who loved her dearly. She was the "matriarch" of the Alvarez family, her door and heart always open to those who needed her. She will be dearly missed but the memories she left behind will forever be cherished by those of us who loved her. Time to rest, Aunt Lolly, your work here is done. Reunite with all those who've gone before you and give them our love.

Aunt Lolly is someone who will never be forgotten. I remember living next door to her, she was such a mother hen, always checking on me. I remember once when my brother, Ricky, and I spent 2 weeks with her and Joe on the dairy farm. We had so much fun. We woke up each morning to a huge breakfast. I remember helping make rice balls once...again lots of fun. I'm so glad she passed down the jambalaya recipe to Sis. She was always so full of stories, laughter, and ready to share fond memories. She was the "garage sale queen", I'll have to find someone else to take my things to. She will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to the family.

I did not get the opportunity to spend an abundance of time with Mrs. Lolly, but have grown to love her through her family. May God bless the family as you suffer through this time of sorrow. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.
