A memorial service for Terry will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at Broussard’s in Nederland. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until service time.

Ms. Lee, 44, of Conroe was a long time employee of the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services and was recently recognized as the agency’s Children’s Protective Services (CPS) caseworker of the year. During her 20 year career, she received numerous awards and recognitions related to her intelligent and sensitive work with abused and neglected children. She was born in Port Arthur and lived there until 1992 when she moved to Montgomery County. Terry was a gifted artist and master gardener whose jewelry designs and landscape work were well respected in the southeast Texas area. During the later part of her career with CPS, Terry performed specialized investigations and was known for her communication skills; she was called upon to testify in numerous hearings and trials and was well known and respected in the Montgomery County criminal justice system. She is survived by her daughter Matty Sloan Lee of Houston, her mother Margaret Duke of Nederland; her father O.T. Wallace Jr. and spouse Judy of Port Arthur; and brother O.T. Wallace III, his wife Denise and their children Kaitlyn and Kacie of Port Neches. Carolyn (Delgadillo) Morgan Orange, TX September 7, 2007
I met a friend today I have not seen in several years. We shared our up-to-date things going on in our lives, ie. family, school, work, and past happenings. Terry was very present in our hearts, we talked about her, her life, her achievements, her tragic passing...we laughed as we shared memories about Terry and the wonderful friendship she and my/her "special" friend had shared for over 30 years. Terry is very sorely missed by all, family, friends, acquaintances, and myself and Shari, the "special" friend. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family and all who were blessed to know her, to O.T., and the children and families whose lives she touched. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

To My Dear Friend, I saw this quote and thought of you, "Our Lord does not care so much for the importance of our works as for the love with which they are done." You did everything with love especially for the children. Thanks for all that you have taught us. I will miss you so much. Cathy/CPS Co-Worker
