Alice Adell Marvel, 88, of Nederland, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2007 at her home in Nederland. She was born on September 14, 1918 in Oklahoma to Jim and Dehlia Conley. Mrs. Marvel married Paul W. Marvel of Arkansas and resided in Nederland for 59 years.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at Broussard’s in Nederland with Rev. Dan Malain officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday with a scriptural rosary to be recited at 6 PM at the mortuary.
Mrs. Marvel was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Marvel, daughter, Judy Corbello, grandson, Justin Marvel, brother, Jimmy Buck Conley, and sister, Adelyn Neibaum. She is survived by her sons, Paul C. Marvel and his wife Jennifer of Beaumont, and Ken Marvel of Nederland; her sister, Annarose Rachel of Houston; her brother, Francis (Rube) Conley and his wife Frances of Highlands; her grandchildren, Michel Barrilleaux and her husband, Kevin, Cliff Corbello, Marianne Broussard, Jimmy Marvel, Jennifer Drybola and her husband Mike, and Julie Marvel; her great grandchildren, Sheree Barrilleaux, Shane Barrilleaux, Shawn Corbello, Michael Broussard, Lyndsey Broussard, Emily Drybola, Tiffany Drybola, and Timothy Drybola; one great-great grandson, Nathan Barrilleaux.
