My Deepest Sympathy goes out to he "entire" family and I will never forget DeeAnn and her kindness she shared with me and my family back when she was my sister in-law, and still kept in touch with my younger brother (Bill Smith) as they went on with their lives. For the little ones left behind should always know that now DeeAnn (their mommy) is forever their Angel and will Always still be in their hearts and guide them to a very Happy Life as I "know" she would have wanted! If it weren't for my mother I do not know when I would have found out DeeAnn because my brother (Bill) I know took this personal (he/we have lost so many in our family and Bill has a hard time going on without them, and I know DeeAnn held a special place in his heart) and at the same time this was in the paper, DeeAnn's visitation day was on the day I lost my father (June 27,2003), and I had put in the paper His Remembrance and I read all of the Obits. and NEVER saw DeeAnn as she has changed so much, since I have seen her last. I actually still did not believe my mother that DeeAnn has left all of us, I had to come to this page to see for myself and watch her Memorial Video and saw the few pictures of her wit that very LONG hair (and it was LONG) and wore glasses, it was then I believed it... And those Two Beautiful children she had, I guess she changed so much and had so much glow in her eyes and face as we all do when we become a mother, and looking at the children Hali and Colby, I see why she was glowing, and has grown to be a beautiful woman... I know she is in Heaven with her daddy I know she had so much love for and she and my little siter that hung around with her, are now both reunited in our Lords hands! God Bless each of you, and know DeeAnn (mommy) is now in a much better place no matter how hard it is to not have her anymore in person, she is with you all each and every breath you take... Those who are Loved do not die, they live forever in our hearts! God Bless...Renee' Smith-Petitt (former sister in-law through the marriage of my brother Bill Smith)

When dee dee was just sixteen months old and Jerry and Gary were little boys, my husband, Johnny, and I bought the home across the street from them in 1961. Our children played together and Arlene and I were great friends. We moved to the Rio Grande Valley in 1970 and after that we lost track of one another. ater I tried to contact her and heard she had moved to Sour Lake but could not find an address or phone number on the internet for her. In the past couple of years my youngest son, Billy, moved back to Beaumont and through some friends he again met Gary. My address is 719 La Vista, McAllen, Tx., 78501. My heartfelt condolences to all of you.
