Cloid Hamilton, Jr., 72, of Tomball died Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Tomball Regional Hospital. Cloid was born July 2, 1934 to Cloid and Nora (Pate) Hamilton, Sr. in Grant, Louisiana. He was a resident of Saratoga before moving to Tomball one and a half years ago. Cloid was the retired owner of Hamilton’s Lawn Care Service and proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Lalu Hamilton of Tomball; children, Susie Hamilton and John Earl Hamilton both of Saratoga, Cloid Hamilton III of Ivanhoe, Sherry Bell of Tomball, Janne Smith and Laurie Hill both of Cypress, and Sally Watterson of Houston; seventeen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters; Eloise Kellogg, Wanda Wise, and Patsy Ruth Mahaffey; and one brother, Gerald Hamilton.
A Service of Celebration for Cloid will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Kountze with Reverend Tony Thornton and Reverend Jeremy Rogers officiating under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Monday, June 25, 2007 at the mortuary.
