Hugh Allen Hooks, 75, of Thicket died Saturday, May 8, 2004 at his residence. Funeral service will be today, Friday, May 14, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Kountze, with burial to follow at Hooks Cemetery, under the direction of Broussard’s 700 W. Saratoga Hwy, Kountze, Texas.
A native of McAllen, Texas Hugh lived in the area for most of his life and was a Personnel director for Dupont and also a U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife: Jean Hooks of Thicket; daughter: Carol Annette Smith and her husband Kent of Mesa, Arizona; 2 grandchildren, 6 step children and 9 step grandchildren.
