Alphia “Dolly” Kelley Weldon, 83, of Houston and formerly of Honey Island, died Thursday, June 14, 2007 in Houston. Alphia was born November 3, 1923 to Dan and Cloann (Flowers) Sutton in Honey Island and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Kelley and his wife Loretta of Houston; brothers, Coye Sutton and P. D. Sutton both of Honey Island; sister, Florence Dunlap of Honey Island; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 18, 2007 at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze with Reverend Mel Rowell officiating. Burial will follow at Sutton Cemetery in Honey Island. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, June 17, 2007 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
