Evelyn Fontenot, 87, of Beauxart Gardens passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2007 in Cypress Glen Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 14, 2007 in the chapel of Broussard’s in Nederland. Interment will follow at 4:00 P.M. in Big Wood Cemetery in Edgerly, Louisiana. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 with a rosary being recited at 6:30 P.M. at the mortuary.
Mrs. Fontenot was a native of Cow Island, Louisiana and has lived in Beauxart Gardens for thirty-three years. She was a Janitor for many years.
Mrs. Fontenot was preceded in death by husband Clements Fontenot and 2 step daughters. She is survived by her three daughters; Annie Hebert of Bossier, La, Shirley Doucet of Beaumont, Jeanette Arnold and her husband Ronald of Sulphur, La, son, Lester Hebert and his wife Linda of Kaplan, La, her step children, Lovelass, Emery, Honora and Lilly, thirty four grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren and one brother, Wilson Trahan and a host of family and friends.
