Lionel E. Morvant, 78, of Kountze, Texas died Wednesday May 19, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A Memorial Mass will be Sunday May 23, 2004 at 3:00 P.M. at Infant Jesus Catholic Church under the direction of Broussard’s 700 W. Saratoga Hwy, Kountze, Texas 77625.
A native of Port Arthur, Texas he lived in Kountze for 25 years and was a retired Carpenter Supervisor for Texaco with 37 ½ years of service and also a WWII, U.S. Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his wife: Dorothy Morvant of Kountze; daughters: Sandy Crowe and her husband Jonathan of New Jersey, Lynell Decuir and her husband Tim of Kountze, Tammy Welch of Lake Jackson; son: Keith Morvant and his wife Pam of Port Arthur; brothers: Matt Morvant of Brookeland, and T. C. Morvant of Houston. 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
