Joel "Joey" Gene King, 33, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007.
A native of Woodville, Texas, Joey has lived in the Silsbee area all of his life. He was a journeyman lineman.
He is survived by his daughter, Darien Nicole King; mother, Donna Kirkendall King; brothers, Ricky Doyle King and wife Cynthia and John Paul King and wife Tena all of Silsbee; sister Lamesa Smith and husband Nick of Silsbee; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Doyle King; and brothers, Carl King and Jimmy King.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 7, 2007 at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee with interment to follow at Davis Cemetery in Kirbyville, Texas. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, June 6, 2007 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
