Bonnie “Cathy” Beasley Holland

After a long battle with cancer, Cathy peacefully went home to her Lord Monday, May 28, 2007, at her parents home surrounded by her family. Cathy was a lifelong resident of Port Neches and Nederland. She graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School in 1970. She went on to marry and have one child. She received her radiology technician from Lamar University Beaumont and worked in that field for many years.

She is survived by her husband Rodney Holland of Nederland, her parents, Bob and Wilma Beasley of Port Neches, her brother, Frank Beasley and his wife Debbie of Nederland, her sister Terri Beasley and companion B.G. Bentley of Groves, her daughter Crystal Holland and companion Teri Golemon of Deweyville, her niece Deana LaPointe and husband Darin of Nederland and her nephew Eric Beasley of Port Neches. She also has two grandchildren, Baylee Holland of Deweyville and Christian Vandiver of Nederland, and two great nephews Cole and Caleb LaPointe of Nederland. She also leaves behind many friends and well-wishers. The family wishes to thank Odyssey Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. We would also like to thank all of the people that helped along the way with food and other such things. A special thank you to Dr. Hamby and Gayla for their compassion and strength.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Broussard’s in Nederland with Mr. Don Swanson officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday at the mortuary.

It will be a year tomorrow since you passed away. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about you. I miss talking to you, hugging you, and just having you here. You were the best mom and nothing will ever change that. I hope that you are at peace wherever you are. I will always love you. Love, Crystal

I sorta worked with Cathy with Davis Relief Service. She wasn't in the office but I talked to her almost every day. It is amazing how you can get close to someone over the phone. We always knew we could count on Cathy when we had a question about the transcription. And the cakes she baked and decorated were so beautiful. I never could figure out when she had time to make them because she was always up on her transcription and you would have to transcribe to understand how time consuming it could be. All I know is the world was a better place because of her. I would like to convey my sympathy for your loss and please know that you are all in my prayers. Cathy is now with the Father and without pain and suffering. Gods Blessings on you all. Shirley Boudreaux

Cathy you were my best friend in childhood and teenage years. Memories: Mommy Beasley would buy us ice cream during our kindergarten years, all our church time together and what fun we had in mommys mustang in our teenage years and yes we shared a few tears along the way too, but most memories of all, is how much you loved your family and how proud you were when your daughter was born. I wish I would have known about your illness but after we all went seperate ways as we got older I lost touch with alot of my childhood friends and only wish I could turn back the hands of time. My heart felt love to Mom and Dad Beasley, Frankie and beautiful Terri, your daughter and extended families.
