Marie Genuardi, 87, of Nederland, died Thursday, May 24, 2007 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 PM Saturday, May 26, 2007 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with Rev. Dan Malain officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Friday with a scriptural rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM at the mortuary.
Mrs. Genuardi was a native of Beaumont and lived in Nederland for 47 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the American Italian Culture Club. She was also a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland.
Mrs. Genuardi was preceded in death by Samuel Genuardi, her husband of 52 years, and her sister, Kate Holter. She is survived by her three daughters, Mary Jo Chauvin and her husband Pete of Nederland, Donna Chisam and her husband Randy of Conroe, and Anna Cady and her husband James of Nederland; one son, Frank Genuardi and his wife Catherine of Nederland; one brother, Pete Digiovanni and his wife Olga of Groves; one sister, Margaret Young of Houston; five grandchildren, Jana Chauvin, Christopher Genuardi, Michael Chisam, Elizabeth Genuardi, and Rachel Chisam.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, or to the American Italian Culture Club.
