Mike Work, 63, of Kountze, died Saturday, June 5, 2004 at Pine Arbor Nursing Home in Silsbee. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, June 8, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at Broussard’s 700 W. Saratoga Hwy. Kountze, Texas, with burial to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze Texas. A gathering of family and friends will be today, Monday, June 7, 2004, from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
A native of Port Arthur, Texas, he lived in Kountze most of his life. Mike was an iron worker for the Local Union #125, and also a United States Air Force Veteran. He was also a member of the Sons of Confederacy.
He is preceded in death by brother: Kenneth Work.
He is survived by his sons: Billy Work and his wife Penny of Silsbee, Joe Work and his wife Kim of Kountze, and Phillip Work also of Kountze; his sisters: Sue Lindeman and Joan Hodges of Silsbee; his brothers: Pat and Jim Work of Kountze, and David Work of Lufkin; and seven grandchildren.
