Electra “Leck” Warden, 86, of Kountze died Tuesday June 8, 2004 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral Services will be Thursday June 10, 2004 at 3:00 P.M. at Broussard’s 700 W. Saratoga Hwy, Kountze, Texas. Burial will follow at Hooks Cemetery in Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be today, June 9, 2004, from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
A native of San Augustine, Texas, she lived in Kountze most of her life and was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her grandson, Jonathan Warden; Sisters, Ava McWilliams, Elizabeth “Nook” Warden, Louise Petitt, and Ann Oszczakiewicz; and brother, Charles VanSchoubroek.
She is survived by her husband, Norman “Lee” Warden Sr. of Kountze; daughter, Sue Gilmore and husband Ozzie of Kountze; sons, Norman Warden Jr. of Henderson, Richard Warden and his wife Elaine of Kountze, and Benny Warden and his wife Becky of Saratoga; sister, Tommie Johnson of Mansfield, Texas; fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
