Verda Mae Miller, 85, of Nederland passed away, Saturday April 21, 2007 at her residence in Nederland.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 10:00 AM, in the chapel of Broussard’s, 505 12th Street in Nederland, with Dr. L.A. Richardson officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, Monday evening, April 23, 2007 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
Mrs. Miller was a native of Hemphill, and lived in Nederland since 1942. She retired from the Nederland State Bank as a bookkeeper with several years of service.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Willie. She is survived by her four daughters, Frances Minaldi and her husband, Ronald of Nederland, Linda Sanderson of Nederland, Billie Reeves and her husband Marvin of Leesburg, and Sheila Shettle also of Nederland; one son, James Miller and his wife Marlis of Nederland; nine grandchildren, Ronn Minaldi, Shawn Stansbury, Jamie Jorgensen, Joel Miller, Amy Guseman, Justin Sanderson, Chad Lisenby, Cheyne Platt, and Jake Miller; nine great grandchildren, Trae Minaldi, Garet Stansbury, Alec Stansbury, Cory Jorgensen, Austin Miller, Emily Wilkins, William Guseman, James Sanderson, and John Sanderson.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Central Gardens Baptist Church Building Fund.
