Allen “Joey” Bruce, 29, of Beaumont died Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital.
A native and life long resident of Beaumont, Joey was a 1996 graduated from Hamshire Fannett High School and worked for XL Systems as shipping and receiving manager.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Valerie Bruce of Hamshire; sons, Kayden and Braylon Bruce of Beaumont; wife, Tiffany Bruce of Beaumont; sisters, Rachel Bruce of Hamshire, and Deidre Hodges and her husband Glenn of LaBelle; nephews, Dalton and Darren Hodges of LaBelle; grandparents, Connie Myers of Hamshire, and Rose and Raymond Jagneaux of Beaumont; step grandmother, LaVerne Bruce of Lumberton; Godparents, Anita Lenord and Joe Bruce. Allen was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Bruce, Sr.; and step grandfather, Arthur Myers.
A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2007 with a Christian Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
