Armoneice Vera Blanchard, 83, of Saratoga, Texas died Saturday, April 14, 2007 in Beaumont. Vera was born May 27, 1923 in Woodville, Texas to Edmond Crawford and Maude (Broom) Eastham. Having spent most of her life in Saratoga, she was a member of West End Baptist Church.
Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Joseph Blanchard; brothers, Edmond Monroe Eastham, Augusta Perry Eastham, Gordon Burke; sisters, Gladys Marino and Alma Cameron; and son, Richard Earl Blanchard.
She is survived by her sons, Martin Joseph Blanchard and wife Elaine of Brazoria, Texas, Lawrence Jesse Blanchard Cotton of Rosemond, California; daughters Marsha Love Fregia and husband Kenny of Daisetta, Phyllis Elaine Merrill and husband James of Saratoga; brother Earl La Mar Eastham of Houston; sisters Lois Madrid “Dolly” Cravy of Silsbee,Annie Lee Eastham of Houston, Nelle Eastham of Huntsville; grandchildren Kenneth and Donna Fregia of La Porte, Tony and Jana Fregia of Daisetta, Tammy Jo and Chet Herrin of Call, LaTosha and Tater Graham of Saratoga, Morgan and Wilma Blanchard of Hoop n Holler, Lawrence “Larry” and Mindi Blanchard of Saratoga, Richard Blanchard of California, Tonia Lawrence of Iowa, Ricky Ryan Cotton of California, Jennifer Cotton and Ashley of California, Stephen Ward, Richard and Brandy Ward; great-grandchildren Kade, Allie, Kristen, Kyle, Hannah and Kody Fregia, Elora Dannen and Dakota Smith, Kindall Herrin; Tyler and Kodi Williams, Kyler and Gavin Reese Ward, Savannah Mae “Binjhe” Blanchard; numerous nieces and nephews, in-laws and loving friends; and her most devoted and loyal friend White Cloud “Whitey”.
Funeral services for Vera will be Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at Broussard’s Chapel, 530 West Monroe, Kountze, Texas with a burial to follow at Catholic Cemetery in Liberty, Texas. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Chapel Monday, April 16, 2007 from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M.
