Mary Ita Martinez, 65, of Beaumont, died Monday, March 19, 2007 at Harbor Hospice.
A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, Mary was a staffing coordinator at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.
Her sister, Ruth Lozano; and parents, Joe and Lucy Lozano preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Joe A. Martinez, Sr.; son, Joe A. Martinez, Jr.; daughter, Stephanie Diane Barboza and her husband Flint all of Beaumont; adopted sons, Anthony Barbin and Robert Wagner; grandchildren, Julian Barboza, Kathryn Barboza, Abby Barboza, Madison Lozano and Maison Lozano; brothers, Joseph Lozano and his wife Penny, Arthur Lozano and Johnny Lozano and his wife Dee all of Beaumont; sisters, Patricia “Annie” Day and her husband Archie of Beaumont, Julie Molina and her husband Hector of Port Arthur and Ruby Dean and her husband Wayne of Spring; aunts, Grace Whitman of Vidor and Becky Cantu of Beaumont; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great great nieces and nephews; and good friend, Sheryl Gray of Vidor.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2007 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2007 at the mortuary.
