Helen B. “Granny” Carriere, 78, of Beaumont, died Monday, March 5, 2007 at her residence.
A native of Swords, Louisiana, she was born July 29, 1928 to the late Aluce and Ernestine Bellard. She resided in Beaumont since 1956 where she was a homemaker and mother.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Kenneth Southerland of Lumberton and Debbie and Raymond Buentello of Fannett; granddaughter, Wendy Southerland of Beaumont; grandsons, John Buentello and Jason Buentello both of Fannett and Marcus Southerland of Vidor; and great-granddaughter, Jaylynn Buentello of Fannett.
Her husband, Harry T. Carriere; and great-grandson, Tyler Wayne Buentello preceded her in death.
Mrs. Carriere’s funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Broussard', 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at the Mortuary.
