DeeAnn: I don't know if you remember me or not but your mom and I worked together for several years at GTE (now Verizon). Since you and I are the same age and you were living in Texas, I felt like a surrogate daughter to her while I was at work. She always looked out for me and the other younger girls in our accounting group. I still have the cute pencil holder at my desk today that she gave me oh so many years ago and I'm sure that somewhere here at home, I still have the mood bracelet she gave me one Christmas (over 25 years ago). That was really "in" at the time and I wore it constantly for so long! I remember she even scheduled you and I a time to play tennis once when you were in town (back when we were in our 20's). Sallie always had a good story to tell and she always told it like it is. We had a lot of fun working together during those "good old days". I can't believe that you and I are older now than she would have been when we first worked together. Where does the time go? I have often wondered how she was doing but I lost touch with her over the past few years. I just wanted to express my sympathy to you and let you know I am thinking about you and that I will always remember your mom. Sincerely, Karen (Collins) Huber

Deeann, I remember how you were there when my grandma passed and how grateful I was for your support. Sally was such a character and I'm glad to have known her. I will never forget the summer we stayed at her home in Clinton, IL. - cleaning out the basement, playing the accordian, riding the motorcycles, and playing bingo. I have fond memories of our time together there, and at our home. I wish you comfort and peace in this sad time, but know that Sally and "Ga" are up in heaven trading recipes about now. All those other angels are in for a real treat! Love, Greta

Dear Deeann: I know I speak for all of us when I say you will always be a part of the Ott family. I remember the the first time we met you, oh what energy and determination you had back then & still today. After meeting Sallie, we all knew where that came from - what a character! Your Mom is well & happy again especially if she finds a "boat" in heaven and a few dogs and cats to keep her company. I know you will miss her very much. Love, Diane, Jon, Greta, Gidget & Marie
