Mary Elizabeth Hillebrandt Walker, 87, of Beaumont, died Sunday, February 18, 2007 at her daughter’s residence in Inez, Texas where she resided for the last two years.
She was born on October 8, 1919 in Beaumont to the late Robert E. and Magdalena Hillebrandt and was a very devoted Catholic. Mary was married to Earnest Walker for twenty-five years.
Survivors include her daughter, Sonja Lee Miori and her husband Frank of Inez; son, Clay E. Walker, Sr. of Beaumont; eighteen grandchildren; sisters, Thelma Merindino, Alice Walden and Cecilia Hillebrandt all of Beaumont and Madeline West of Rye; brother, Frederick Hillebrandt, Sr.; and numerous great grandchildren, whom she loved very much.
Her husband; daughters, Patsy Walker and Mary Jo Dyson; son, John Earl Walker and Robert E. Walker, Sr.; brother, Robert E. Hillebrandt, Jr.; sister, Anastasia Deckert; and granddaughter, Theresa Gallier preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 22, 2007 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church with burial to follow at Hillebrandt Cemetery in Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. Robert E. Walker, Jr., Ricky Walker, Tony Miori, Eddie Dyson, Clay Walker, Jr. and Doug DelMage will be serving as pallbearers. A Rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at the Mortuary.
