Cynthia “Cindy” Peveto, 48, of Orange, Texas passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2007 at the Methodist Hospital in Houston. Cindy was born on May 31, 1958 in Orange, Texas to Jerry Howard and June (Shores) Peveto. Cindy lived most of her life in the Vidor area and was a 1976 graduate of Vidor High School. She continued her education at Lamar University in Beaumont and graduated in 1992 with Associate of Applied Science Degrees in Child Care Technology and Food Service Management and a Bachelors Degree in Applied Arts and Sciences. The highlight of Cindy’s educational career was when she received her Texas Teaching Certificate in 1993.
Cindy is survived by her loving parents, Jerry and June Peveto of Orange; her brother,Cal Peveto of Dallas, Texas and her nephew, Caleb Edward Peveto. She was preceded in death by her brother, Shawn Peveto.
A Service of Celebration for Cindy will be held on Monday, February 19, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Broussard’s Mortuary, 2000 McFaddin in Beaumont with Mr. Jerral Kay officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2007 from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Cindy’s name to the charity of your choice.
