Mary Modica Bayard, 87, of Nederland passed away Friday, February 9, 2007 peacefully, with her family by her side.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Thursday, February 15, 2007 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Port Arthur. A scriptural rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM Wednesday evening at Broussard’s in Nederland.
Mrs. Bayard was a native of Onalaska and lived in Nederland for 50 years. She was a homemaker and business woman. She was a 1939 graduate of Beaumont High School, where she designed the school flag and also served as flag bearer of the Royal Guard.
Mrs. Bayard was preceded in death by her husband Paul B. Bayard Sr. She is survived by her sons, Ernest Bayard and his wife Marian of Vidor, Pete Bayard and his wife Robbie of Palestine, and Paul Bayard Jr. and his wife Linda of Nederland; one sister, Eunice Smith of Nederland; also 7 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
