John Neely 76 of Nederland, passed away, Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at his residence.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Broussard’s Chapel in Nederland with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Friday at the mortuary.
Mr. Neely was a native of Port Arthur and has lived in Port Arthur, Nederland and Bridge City area all his life. He retired from Firestone in Orange, after 25 years as a machinist. He also served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Neely was preceded in death by his wife Jerry Samford Neely. He is survived by three daughters, Teri Cryer of Groves, Johnna Smith and her husband Tommy of Nederland, and Babette Sosa and her husband D.E. of Groves, one sister, Myrtle Breaux of Fannett; also four grandchildren; Meegan Cryer, Morgin Cryer, Carlee Smith and Ryan Sosa.
