Karis “Gene” Goodsell, 63, Of Bridge City, passed away, Friday, February 02, 2007 at Renaissance Hospital in Groves.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, February 5, 2007 in the chapel of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends to be from 2 to 5 PM Sunday, February 4, 2007 at the mortuary.
He was a native of Port Arthur and lived most of his life in Port Arthur before moving to Bridge City in 2000. He retired from Exxon Mobil. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City. Gene was preceded in death by his mother Mabel and Allen Page.
Goodsell is survived by his wife of seven years, Cookie Goodsell of Bridge City; father, Donald Goodsell of Bridge City; daughter, Pam Reeves and husband Pat of Groves; son, Troy Goodsell and Veronica; sister, Darlene Bonsall and husband Mike of Nederland; brother, Allen “Wayne” Page of Nederland; step sisters, Jo Lynn Mott and husband Jon of Orangefield, Mary Bonaventure of Houma, LA. Re Donna and Fancher of husband Tim of Woodville; stepsons, Brian Broussard and Greg Broussard; five grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
