Dad, you taught me so much, I could write all day about the things I learned from you. Your smile and your laugh are just two of the many things you were known for. Let's not forget your passion for the outdoors! Wow! I remember my first hunting trip with you right after I got my 410 shotgun. I remember that day like it was yesterday - that is one of my fondest memories. I was only a kid and even though now I am in my forties, that memory still has not faded. Your strength and trust in God is also something you amazed me at. To have that kind of strength and unquestioning trust is truely an admirable thing. Its been a while now since you left this earthly place, but I know in my heart that you will always be near us, watching over us, and always, always on my mind. Until we meet in Heaven, I love you, I miss you, and I know that you are enjoying your reward with our Heavenly Father. Your son, Don E. Wood Jr.

As Don's sisterinlaw for almost 40 years I can truly state there will never be another quite like him. He was kind, funny, generous, loved the Lord as well as stubborn and a real treasure. To know Don E. Wood was a pleasure. Donny and Lori your Dad will be truly missed by a lot of people in Winnie.I hope you will find comfort in knowing just how he effected others lives while here on earth.God bless you both.
