Martha Day, 78, of Beaumont died January 4, 2007 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth. A native of Eddy, Texas, she lived most of life in Beaumont, where she retired from Beaumont Independent School District after thirty years of service as a transportation secretary.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry Day of Beaumont, Jeffery Day of Vidor; granddaughter, Leah Day of Austin; special friend, Karen Weller of Beaumont; sister, Mary Alice Walker of Vidor; and numerous nieces and nephews. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Foy Day; and son, David Day.
Funeral services will be 6:00 P.M. Monday, January 8, 2006 at Broussard’s Mortuary, 2000 McFaddin. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday evening beginning at 5:00 P.M. until service time.
