LEE ANN CLAY OWEN
The Rod & Reel Doctor
Lee Ann received her wings to fly with others to stand before God on December 24, 2006. She fought a long and hard battle with Lupus. She was surrounded by family and friends who loved her until the end. She was born on July 25, 1957 in Waco, Texas.
She moved to the Beaumont area in 1974, where she worked as a Respiratory Therapist for over twenty years and due to her health, she had to give it up. She opened the Rod & Reel Doctors on Calder for almost fifteen years but due to health had to close the doors. She loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, but most of all she loved boating, BBQ, and cooking for family and friends.
She had no children; she loved her animals and her niece and nephew as they were her children. Her family that stayed behind are her mother, Lucy Patterson of Beaumont; sister, Pamela Moss and husband T. Moss of Silsbee; brother, Kyle Bland and his wife Connie of Silsbee; nieces, Summer Garrett of Dallas, Kelli Houghton and her husband Daniel of Orange; nephew, Jerrett Armstrong of Dallas; and great nephew, Mason Houghton of Orange. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
Cremation arrangements will be held under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at the mortuary.
