James S.Bain, 61, of Sour Lake died December 24, 2006 in Sour Lake. James was born April 1, 1945 in Harrisburg, Illinois and resided in Sour Lake since 1987. He was the former Chief of Police in Sour Lake from 1987 to 1994. James also proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era.
James is survived by his son Michael Bain of Sour Lake. He was preceded in death by his daughter Tabitha Lynn Bain.
Graveside service with military honors will be at 11:30 A.M. Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Houston National Cemetery 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive Houston, Texas 77038 under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary 530 W. Monroe Kountze, Texas 77625. Cremation arrangements were handled by Broussard’s Crematorium.
