“Dink” Wade Spurlock, Sr., 50, of Spurger, died Saturday, December 16, 2006 in Zatpata Texas while on a hunting trip with his sons and several friends.
A native of Kountze, Texas, he was a lifelong resident of the Spurger area and was a supervisor at Trans Global Solution.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Spurlock of Spurger; Sons, Lynn Wade Spurlock, Jr. and wife, Kertrina of Fred, Jason Monroe Spurlock and wife, Kimberly of Fred; grandchildren, Skylyn, Lynn III, Emma, Samuel; mother, Glenna Ester Spurlock Erwin; brother, Britton Monroe Spurlock and wife, Laura of Silsbee; sister, Linda Carol Mayfield. He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Britton Spurlock and brother, Jimmy Spurlock.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at Oak Groves Assembly of God in Fred. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, December 18, 2006 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Broussard’s.
