Raymond Willis Wright, 89, of Vidor died December 14, 2006 at his residence. A native of Cambridge, Ohio and a longtime resident of Vidor, he was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces and a retired mechanic.

Ray loved his family, thoroughbred horse racing, golf, music and playing his harmonica. He brightened our days with the joy of the Lord in his heart through the good and the bad times. His harmonica playing, old time gospel hymns and jokes will live on in our hearts forever.

Ray is survived by five children, Gloria Fields of Camden, Tennessee, George Wright of Akron, Oklahoma, Linda Faveras of Las Vegas, Nevada, Pauline Bellow of Lumberton and Brenda Arrellano of Vidor; forty-eight grandchildren; and thirty-eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; four children; two sisters; two brothers; one grandchild; and three great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 18, 2006 at Magnolia Cemetery, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin. A gathering of family and friends will begin 10:00 A.M. Monday until service time at the mortuary.

We will rejoice with him when we meet him in heaven. In loving memory, his family.
