Jean Durham went to her peace and rest November 25, 2006. The daughter of Lydia and A.W. (Tony) Kestler, Jean was born July 18, 1928 in Port Arthur, Texas. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and Port Arthur College.
She was a member of Calder Baptist Church and retired from the United States Social Security Administration in 1990.
Her passing was preceded by her parents; her husband, George L. Durham; and her son, David Durham. Her survivors are her brother, Jack Hestler; sister, Nellie Goodwin; sister-in-law, Alice Nell Ashy; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Woodville, Texas under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday evening, November 27, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
