Earl C. Russell, 74, of Beaumont died Monday, May 3, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Doucette, Texas, and a Burkeville High School graduate, Mr. Russell retired as an employee with Gulf Oil in 1985. He was a United States Air Force veteran and a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 6, 2004 at Broussard’s, 1605 N. Major Drive, Beaumont followed by burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, May 5, 2004 at the mortuary.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Katie Russell of Beaumont; sons, Richard Russell of Arlington, Stephen Russell and his wife, Rosa of Beaumont, and Kevin Russell and his wife, Kelly of North Richland Hills; grandson, Jimmy and his friend, Amanda of Beaumont; step grandchildren, Stephanie, Jeremy, and Lauren McBroom of North Richland Hills; brother, Willie Lee Russell and his wife, Joke of Leander; and sisters, Eleanor Pruitt and her husband, Jack of Terrell and Catherine Gorskie of Beaumont.
