CLARA “BOONIE” ROWLAND

Clara “Boonie” Rowland, 88 of Winnie, died October 15, 2006 at Christus St. Mary Hospital.

A native of Crowley, Louisiana she had lived all her life in Winnie.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Thursday, October 19, 2006 at St. Louis Catholic Church, 135. W. Buccaneer Dr. with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s 134 W. Buccaneer Dr., Winnie. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, with a rosary at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

“Boonie” is survived by her guardians and cousin, Karlin Savoie and her husband, John of Winnie and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wm. L. “Rolly” Rowland and parents Leo and Naomi DeBellevue.

Aunt Boonie, Your had 11 children who loved you so much. Now you are in heaven with Uncle Rolly and momma. I believe I speak for us all when I say we will never forget you. Your memories will forever live in our hearts and in the hearts of our children for generations to come. I will miss the long talks we had and hearing your marvelous laugh.
