Herman Vickers, 78, of Beaumont, died Saturday, October 7, 2006 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.
A native of Liberty Hill, Texas, Herman was an oil field superintendent and an avid Astros fan.
Survivors include his sons, Alan Vickers of Houston, Brett Vickers and his wife Maria of Beaumont, and Craig Vickers of Big Sandy; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers, C. J. Vickers, Vic Vickers, Don Vickers and Gilbert Vickers; and other loving family members.
His parents, Retta Mae and Charlie James Vickers; and his sister, Lola Vickers Gardner preceded him in death.
A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at William Buck Cemetery just outside of Liberty Hill, Texas. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2006 at Cook-Walden-Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown.
