Derek Heath Leone, 26, of Sour Lake, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2006 at his residence in Sour Lake.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at Broussard's Mortuary in Nederland with Rev. Delton D. Rice D.D. officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at the mortuary.
Derek Leone was a native of Beaumont and lived in the Nederland area all of his life. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Derek was preceded in death by his grandmother, MaMa Cheddy, stepfather, Gary Morgan. Derek is survived by his mother, Sue Leone of Sour Lake; father, Reagan Leone and wife Marian of Amarillo, Texas; grandfather, Clinton Leone of Nederland; Ilena “Ganny” Stockman of Sour Lake; sisters, Jere Redd and husband Lee, Vanessa Hofstad and husband Kevin, Tiffany Macias, Tracy Smith; brothers, Scott Smith, Chuck LeBlanc, Michael Patterson; uncles Karl Leone and wife Kay of LaBelle, Texas, Charles Young and wife Vanette of Bridge City; aunts, Deborah Guidry of Nederland; Gena Brammer and husband Scott of Nederland; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends; girlfriend, Erin Smith of Nederland; and man’s best friend, Lacee.
