Etha May Carr Giblin, 86, of Bevil Oaks died September 26, 2006 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth. She was a lifelong resident of the area.
Etha is survived by her sons, Gary Lynn Giblin and his wife Dona of Warren, Donald Ray Giblin and his wife Charlott of Woodville; daughters, Loretta Kay York and her husband Arthur of Bevil Oaks, Lurah Marie Broussard of Bridge City; six grandchildren, Kevin Giblin, Darla Anthony, Kelly Jones, Sharleen Duhon, Vanessa Spikes and Shandra Savoy; ten great grandchildren, Heather Raspberry, Billy Northen, Jeremy and Jordan Giblin, Baylee Savoy, Mackenzie Jones, Jonathon Vigeon, Jessica Metts, Whitney and Haley Spikes; two great great grandchildren, Madison Burke and Brayson Raspberry; and her special nieces, Brenda Carr, Mary Messina and Anna Rivette. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cornelius and Augustine Carr; husband of fifty-one years, Harold J. Giblin; brothers, Buddy and Russell Carr; and her sister, Mary Merendino.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 29, 2006 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive followed by burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
