Regretfully, I cannot attend Homer's funeral today, but am so glad I can communicate this way. Homer was the sweetest man and one of my favorite people I ever got to meet after James & I met. I had not seen Homer in years, was thinking about him recently for some reason, and actually ran into him at Carmela's Mexican restaurant in Beaumont about 3 or 4 weeks ago. He told me he still was having health issues, but was doing better. I hugged him tight, told him it was great to see him again. It was a shock yesterday when Ethyl told me he died this weekend. Please accept my condolences for your family and all of his friends. We all lost a very special person in Homer. Now heaven gets to have him. I hope he gets to meet my mother....

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Although it's difficult for all of us to deal with, I take comfort in knowing that Homer is no longer suffering. With Deepest Sympathy, Sharon Sibley
