David “Jerry” Potts, 55, of Nederland, passed away Monday, September 11, 2006 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 10: 00 AM Thursday, September 14, 2006 at Broussard’s in Nederland with Rev. Dan Malain officiating, with entombment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friend will be from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday with a scriptural rosary to be recited at 6 PM at the mortuary.
Jerry was a native of Beaumont and lived most of his life in the Nederland and Port Neches area. He was employed at National Freight Company as a truck driver since 1999 and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Becky Potts of Nederland; parents, Clyde and Nell Potts of Ruston, Louisiana; six daughters, Angela Benoit and husband Michael of Alvin, Amanda LeJeune and husband Robert of Port Arthur, Cheri Jordan and husband Jeff of Katy, Crissie Cooper of Nederland, Cassey Jacobs and husband Josh of Nederland, Caree Babin of Nederland; sister, Dana Norris and husband Lynn of Choudrant, Louisiana; brother, Ronnie Potts and wife Jennie of Wylie; eleven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
