Colleen Cone Roane, 63, of Crystal Beach, passed away the morning of August 28, 2006 in her home. She was born February 12, 1943 to her parents, Howell Max Cone and Katherine McAuliffe Cone. Colleen graduated from Beaumont High in 1961.
Colleen was a loving wife and mother who devoted her life to her husband, children, grandchildren and many friends. She enjoyed gardening, spiritual reading, and designing all of her divine creations. She loved spending time with her Rummy Q buddies and her pets Inky, Smokey, and Margie. Colleen will be remembered and missed by her husband, William Arthur Roane; her daughters, Rachael Low Roane and husband Stephen, Courteney Low Myrick and husband Jason; son, Mark Matthews Low and wife Alison; her grandchildren, Terrell, Cameron, Connor, Mary Margaret and Callie Roane, Cadien Myrick, and Matthews Low, all of Beaumont. She is survived by her mother, Katherine McAulliffe Cone; her brothers, John Joseph Cone and wife Mary, Howell Anson Cone and wife Lauren, Michael Patrick Cone and wife Mary. A special thanks to all the caregivers who loved and nurtured her over the past year.
Gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, August 31, 2006 at St. Therese of Lisieux Mission at Crystal Beach from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Christian Vigil beginning at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 1, 2006 at St Therese of Lisieux Misson under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with burial to follow at Crystal Beach Cemetery.
