J.C. Sherman, 98 of Nederland, passed away Monday, August 14, 2006 at Gulf Health Care Center in Port Arthur.
Graveside services will be at 3: 00 P.M. Thursday, August 17, 2006 at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont with Reverend Dr. David Higgs officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 11:30 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Broussard’s in Nederland.
J.C. was a native of Wallisville, Texas and lived in Nederland for 83 years. He retired as a supervisor with Unocal in 1972, and at the time of his death, was the oldest living Nederland High School graduate
Mr. Sherman was preceded in death by his first wife, Carrie Lou Townsend Sherman and his second, Annie Belle Sherman. He is survived by one daughter, Jo Ann Hearne and husband Larry of Nederland; two grandchildren, Steve Hearne and wife Ginger of San Antonio, Texas and Vicki Westbrook and husband Phil of Nederland, Texas; five Great Grandchildren; Adam, Alex and Andrew Westbrook of Nederland, Texas, also Tanner Hearne and Ryan Wynn of San Antonio, Texas
